Writer's Block: Go it alone
Short answer : HELL YEAH.
Regular answer : yes, for the most part, and that is pretty sad. And it becomes way, way worse around the holidays. People "with families" come first. People "without" become puppets who should put themselves at the service of people who do have children. Nevermind people without children who do happen to have families and friends they would like to hang out with. Noooooo, Sally can't go spend Christmas with her nephew who loves her, because Becky has chiiiiiiiiiiiiiildren. I hate hate hate this trend.
Besides I broke up my last (it was my first too) relationship on December 22nd last year and I'm already freaking out about Christmas day. Ouch.
